Fortune Cookie

I got this fortune cookie yesterday.  I didn't like what it had to say at first.  Then I realized, yeah, that fits.  I posted the picture to Instagram, and a friend commented, "It's like they know you."  I'd like to think I'm more cautious than suspicious, but it is funny how eerily close this thing comes to me and my nature regarding certain people and situations.

Tomorrow, starts the next Camp NaNoWriMo.  Another month of procrastinating writing with abandon.  Are you going to camp?

Went out to eat for lunch at Babe's Chicken.  The food was good, and I love the atmosphere outside the place, where I got a bunch of cool pictures.  Here's one of those pictures:

Excuse the awful quality iphone pic.  I took this last night as part of my randomness series on Instagram, and wanted to share it here.

Speaking of awful and randomness, this is what I wrote on that page:

Torn pages, balled up
fists, how do you write
the words that are always
The ones on your tongue,
rough and tangled,
you choke on your feelings
dead and strangled.

I wanted a new picture for Instagram (yes, I'm still addicted), and took this when we went to pick up dinner at Sonic.

Another shot I got with my iphone this past weekend.  If the top part wasn't so washed out, it'd be better, but I do like the rest of it.  Especially how the leaves turned out.  And I like finding these random gifts.

This weekend proved fairly productive as far as getting some pictures, all of them spontaneous while out and about doing other things.  Here's one of those.

I've also joined the Instagram world.  Just what I needed.  Another app addiction!

Simple Pleasures

My latest simple pleasure.  I went to pick up some new Skullcandy earbuds tonight (gave my other pair to the youngest), geeked out on all the cameras, and bought this three pack of purse size Studio C brand notebooks from Carolina Pad.  These are from the Mo Rockin' collection, and I totally dig them.  I'm a paper snob, and love the lightweight feel of the pages.  All three notebooks are different - lined, blank, and graph paper.  Big inspiration in a little size.

Loop poetry

I draw loops and scribble
scribble down the side of paper
paper that crinkles at the edges
edges capture ideas
ideas take shape and then fizzle
fizzle out as seconds tick by,
by the way, this is procrastination
procrastination in all its forms
forms cobwebs on creativity.
